Exhibit is the first event organised by Xplorica to mark the beginning of an academic session. The main attractions include a Project Development Competition and a Photography and Project Exhibition strictly for the students of FIEM.
ADVANCED MANUAL ROBOTICS WORKSHOP
It is the first workshop organized by Xplorica in an academic session. This workshop provides knowledge on basic electrical and electronic components and their modification and usage in making a manual robot. There is also a live as well as hands-on demonstration session where participants are shown the basic steps to build a manual robot. Finally, there is a discussion on advanced robotics covering details on various kinds of manual robots like soccer-bots, picker bots, aqua robots, amphi-bots, wireless bots etc.
YANTRA

non-technical and gaming events for the students of FIEM.

AUTONOMOUS ROBOTICS WORKSHOP
This workshop is conducted as a part of Phoenix, the official techno management fest of FIEM. In this workshop, students are taught to work on microcontrollers and embedded systems. They are taught the internal circuitry of the microcontroller in detail and also taught how to code on a given platform. Details are also provided on the different components required to build a fully functional autonomous bot. Line Follower, Wall Detector and Edge Detector Robots and their working algorithms are discussed. By the end of the workshop, the participants absorb sufficient knowledge to build a working autonomous robot.
PHOENIX
Xplorica presents Phoenix,the official annual techno-management festival. Having grown exponentially since its nascent years, phoenix witnesses nearly a thousand footfall everyday, including participation from various colleges of West Bengal. Phoenix organises a wide range of events catering to the sectors of engineering, basic sciences, management as well as humanities subjects. There is a plethora of technical, non-technical, gaming and management events like robotics, debate, coding and marketing. Algomania
The main objective of Algomania is to introduce competitive programming to the first year students of FIEM.
It is one of the most important workshops for the student's career building as this helps the students prepare themselves for their placements.
DEBATE, EXTEMPORE
"It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it."-Joseph Joubert. Debate is the best way to challenge your communication skills as well as logical extent of your analysis. Xplorica gives you the platform to enrich yourself with debating quality. In the mini tech-fest YANTRA as well as in annual techno management fest PHOENIX , DEBATE is an integral part. For beginners, it is a great experience to participate in debate and for experienced ones, it will be sheer enrichment of thoughts and knowledge.

EDITING AND CONTENT WRITING
If you have knowledge to share, as well as creativity in your mind, then Xplorica gives you the opportunity to present your composition and writing skills. There are events like “TELL A TALE” and “Verse-e-Doodle” where you can participate and win exciting cash prizes. It simultaneously helps you to grow your vocabulary and increase the depth of your knowledge.
AUTUMN PHOTOWALK
It is one of the most exciting photography events by XPLORICA. It is where the members walk through a pre declared route and take photographs on their way. The members are invited to bring their own camera (DSLR/Point and Shoot/Mobile/Film) for the photowalk. The Autumn Photowalk usually starts from the potter's quarter of Kolkata (Kumortuli) and ends at Espalanade. It is a 3 hours walk which covers all the activites occuring in this area of the City of Joy just before the festivities kick in with full pomp.
BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
It is the a workshop organized by Lights & Shadows, the photography team under Team Xplorica, Lights & Shadows. This mainly familiarises the participants with the technicalities of photography and the little tricks related to the art of photography. Popular photography genres are discussed. Stress is also laid on ethics a photographer should follow. Participants are also taught basic and advanced editing of photographs using popular editing softwares.
WINTER PHOTOWALK
The second photowalk of the session which takes place after the conclusion of the odd semester. It usually begins at Maidan and covers the Esplanade region.
MANAGEMENT EVENTS
Xplorica organises various events on managements like Pitchers and Marketing .
These events focus on the management skills, communicative skills and pressure handling capacity of the participants.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Fund-raiser programme for social welfare
Xplorica has not just made it’s mark in the technical events and fests, but also it has extended it’s arms to social works. In 2021, the team organised a fund-raiser programme to stand beside the Covid warriors as well as the ones who were affected by the cyclone Yass. We collected a sum of Rs.31,430 with the help and support of everyone. And the whole amount was donated to the covid and yass relief funds of Belur Math Ashram.
Donation Drive to AnandaNagar, Purulia
It was a little step taken by Team Xplorica to provide love and support to the ones in need and bring big smiles on as many faces as possible. And with everyone’s blessings and good wishes, the team was able to go to the interiors of Purulia to serve them and win their hearts on the way back home.
